Have a wonderful summer
Rabbi Sholom Tendler
July 9, 2020: We pray that HaShem protect all from this pandemic which has created havoc, not only with our health, but in so many other critically important areas of our life. We pray that HaShem allow our talmidim to return to yeshiva for the Fall Semester to continue their growth as bnei Torah. It is so important for our talmidim to have in-person relationships with their Rabbeim. It is critical for their growth that they interact personally with their chavrusos and friends. They need the ruach of a yeshiva!
So as we pray, we plan for a normal and healthy opening on September 1. The attached Calendar represents our hopes and prayers to have a strong and productive school year.
Of course, we must also be realistic and we are planning for several contingencies to ensure continued growth in Torah and General Studies. Should less than ideal situations arise, we believe that with creativity and flexibility our campus can provide a safe, legal, and dynamic learning experience. We have applied for a grant to the Federation for such things as acrylic barriers for chavrusa learning and no-touch sanitizer dispensers (just some of the measures we will take). Grant or no grant, we are going ahead with these expenses.
Our Maintenance Company is licensed for disinfecting and sanitizing and works in clinics and medical offices. Depending on the situation, we can do anything from disinfecting once each day to a continual presence of someone cleaning and disinfecting.
